Since I got home, I have been taking my new libraties with great pleasure.
Before I get to the post at hand, I would like to say Happy Mother’s Day to all. The mother’s day for my mom was good, and we just got to hang out in general. Hopefully your mother’s day went well too.
Now, to the post at hand.
So, one particular show I have been slacking on is InuYasha. InuYasha is one of those long driven shows, much like Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, and so fourth. These shows each have their strengths and weaknesses, but one particular weakness for all episodic shows is that they tend to run thin on material. Whether its losing focus from the manga, taking a different spin on the series all together, trying to be original, or just providing filler episodes, longer shows can tend to lose focus. Its understandable when its got like a billion episodes, but sometimes, its over doing it.
Now, I have never seen all of InuYasha, partly because I stopped, and then their was school, and then their were other shows that just interested me, and were a lot shorter. Anyhow, I am currently on Season 4, and have seen the first five episodes of it. Its interesting none the less, and I still like where its going. I have seen both the dubbing and the subbing, and like both.
Of course, the edge goes to the subbed, but hey, the dubbing is alright. I can stand it none the less. Besides, I happen to like Richard Cox’s work. I like Sango’s voice too, as wellas Miroku.
Jigoku Shoujo is coming to its near end, well the first season anyways, and I am enjoying it. By this, I mean, me actually watching, since its already finished in Japan. Sure, its repetative, monotnous and sometimes down right stiff, but I like it all the same. The only thing that really bothers me about this series is that Ai Enma has repeated lines. Just wish she had a better selection of lines to use.
Oh well, I have enjoyed what I have seen so far.
Hope all is well.
